Family is going to collapse

"Are we going to cook tonight?", I asked, "Yes, sure" QQ replied as what she usually promised anything.

After about one-hour running on the soccer ground, I happily drive home although I can't get through QQ's mobile coz I think she would come home soon. Just before I get home, QQ's call comes. I asked "are you having meal?", "yes" QQ answered; "Is era's boy friend with you" I asked one more, she answered 'yes' again. I understand everything then said "it's fine then, talk to you later", and calmly hung up the phone, pretended to hiding something......

It becomes more and more obvious now that QQ has less and less responsibility for this family. She loses a lot interest in the family, she wants some changes because she thinks fresh things might be better than staying in the current situation. She doesn't prepare to give much to others (it's not her value system), but she does expect great things as never changes. She looks forward to nice clothes, rich husband, and any good stuffs......

However, I can't give her too much, I can't make her feel satisfied with the life, it's all why she changed back, she starts to suspecting if it is right choice to stay with me again after a few stable years past. She thinks I'm belonged to her if she wants, so anything that is not belonged to her would be more attractive to her.

I know I can't stop her doing anything, I can't change her mind any more except she wants to. I can only get used to the new situation and prepare for the further changes in the future.

Have I been ready for the changes?

Birthday between QQ and me

Last night, QQ spoked to me, she got a feeling that there are not much love between us, which has almost totaly been replaced the feeling of relatives, we are more like a family but a pair of lover!

That's true, Since QQ got a job, she changed back to the life before we started. However, I got no much idea about how to handle it.

Happy Birthday to Self

Yesterday, it was my birthday, again without too much fresh feelings, except for being a little bit nervous about the coming valuation, which forced me to get up early to be in the house waiting for the valuer.

Rush to pascoe vale in the early morning, with a few thoughts in the mind about what shall I do once I arrive at the property be4 the valuer(Putty) comes (@10:30 supposed to be) although there are still around 2 hours to go.

Clean the garage door first, then paint the posts in the backyard, then the edge of the shed......

Worried a lot until Putty comes, I found I sweated a little bit already. Not like what I expected, this guy quickly finished his rough measurement in about 3-5 minutes, plus a few importantless questions and then left with a saying "good luck", which makes me worry more about the valuation result. I could only sincerely pray......

Happy Birthday QianQian---my lover......

Without any special events or gifts for you except for a normal meal in the city with a few friends, your birthday looks too simple comparing those happened before, however, in my heart, the wishes are still the same, wish u happiness 4ever......

I'm so sorry for owing so many gifts/exciting events, but I promise I would give you much more than normal tomorrow......

Story of 19th April,2007 hasn't been finished yet. In the evening of Friday(20th), just came back from the office, I opened my Gmail mailbox as usual, suddenly, something attracted me immediately, something comes from IMMI !! "what's that" I thought. Looked at the title of the mail carefully, oah my god, hard to believe that my Permanent Resident Application had been approved. "So, it means I've got PR!!!". It just comes much earlier than expected a few days ago.

I don't know what should I do, just silly looking at the mail......

what a great day --- 19th April, 2007

Couldn't imagin 19th April in 2007 would be such a special day in my life. Although 2 days have past, I wanna write down something to memorize the day.

This is the day when I settled my first house in melboune (and including anywhere else). It was @ 12:30pm, my solicitor sandra rang me and said that:" it is......(I'm really nervous and worried a lot), it is settled", "Wow, finally we settled after so many hassles!" I replied.

There were so many hassles I met before the settle,

firstly, I spent more than one month on Bankwest under my previous broker's suggestion but can only get LVR 80%;

sencondly, the due time of 16th Mar was almost out when I got the result from Bankwest, so I need face the 20% penalty interest rate for the property which means more than $200/day;

I changed my direction and headed to Bank of Queensland, they promised me 95% of the LVR, however,I wait for another 3-4 weeks before we confirm the settlement day 19th,April;

And then, On 17th April, the manager of Bank of Queensland called me and said they wouldn't lend me the mortgage insurance (around $8200), I have to prepared it myself with only 2 days left, oah, my god how can I arrange so much money in 2 days? Finally, with the kind help of two colleagues, I got that insurance fee ready on 18th April;

everything looks ok now, I prepared the bank check and took one day off, just wait for the settlement to be happened at 11:30am, however, I received a call from the bank again at 10:30am, they told me "they calculated the stamp duty wrongly, the correct stamp duty should be $2760 more, and I have to prepare it before settlement", "shit, there is only one hour to go, and it's impossible for me to prepare such an amount in so short a time", I totally had no idea how to handle it, They first response I tried was ranging the bank again and persuade them to let me settle first due their mistake of computation, however both the manager and broker denied their responsibilities and said they could do nothing for that. I rang sandra again told her the situation, she just let me know she would call me back. While I was waiting for the call of sandra, I called Qianqian to see if she find some ways to get the cash right now, fortunately, she can get it from one of her friend under her promise that she would return the cash back in 3 days.

Finally, we settled without paying the extra stamp duty because of the false of the bank (although I still need pay it after settlment).

What a hard journey, thanks so much to my lover--Qianqian for her great support during the whole way, thans a lot to all my friends and my solicitor sandra. Without your guys, I don't know when this could happen.

Waiting for the last step to final settlement

Time keeps going, the days get more and more far from the original due day.

Anyway, the ball is rolling although very slowly. Miss Tyler of the bank branch did really a good job and helped me a lot in the past few weeks. Finally, I signed the last document.

Now, I'm waiting for the approval of the settling day.

Hope everything would go fine......and the vendor is still with his patience.

Talking with Rick

All the servers in the company were still inavailable due to the office site movement. Not much basically we could do in the office. After a short chat with the director of our TCC department, it once more proved that wages can't make you fortune. Just as how is it saying: "Formal education earns your living, only self-education can make you fortune".

Probably just because of the current career situation (certainly, not bad at all, actually it's much better than other similar colleagues in the company), I discussed a lot with Rick while having the lunch in Crown. Since it's a very interesting time of exchanging thoughts about doing business and investment, I think, it triggers me to put some of them down here.

1) What kind of module shall we use if we do business? Certainly, we can't choose the same ways what earlier successful entrepreneurs used before when they were doing their businesses. As Rick's point of view, different times we should pick different business to do because market is changing along with the time going, we should the demanding industry as 0ur targets; and different businesses need different approaches to get success.

To demonstrate that point, probably I should ask what did Rick's dad do and how did he do his business, to see if we can still do the business in this age?

2) Share or Property Investment? This is a really impressive discuss. Rick knows so much in share market and investment, however I know much more property investment with almost '0' idea on shares. Rick prefers share investment, but I weight property investment more. Finally, we are quite interest in comparing the investing result between the two approaches. If we suppose we buy both good blue shares with 30% annual growing rate and good located properties with the rate of 10%. For sure, the share would performs much better than property does, which I didn't realize before due to the lack knowledge of share investment. I focused too much on the power of leverage when I consider the two ways.

3) How to pick a share? I totaly learn it from Rick as he is 100% of my mentor in this field. The first issue we need consider is the industry which the share is belonged to. And the second factor we should seriously take into account is the company which must be well managed by excellent teams.

4) Opening Mind. Both of us totally agree with it and know how important it is in doing business and investment.

5) Learning should never be stopped in our lives. This is one of the must ways to get what you are doing successful.

6) The way to talk. it's very important to know well how to talk, how to express your point of view, which is the solid base of a successful chat or conversation.

Ride to work

Riding to work is a really fresh thing for me, it's also a good time for my lancer to have a rest.

However, it was not an easy experience especially for a lazy buddy who hasn't rided for years. It took me 35 minutes arrive at the office and whole wet myself as well. I got the feeling that persistence isn't always as easy as what I imagine.

But I should be proud of myself coz anytime I came out an idea to give up, I would remind myself the words that "Put one foot in front of the other" and "No matter how bad you feel, keep on taking the next small step, and then the next small step, and eventually the job gets done". I just kept counting from 1 to 60, and repeated it again and again, and eventually I am at home, Cheers!
