After work, we started a topic about how to make a good/an effective conversation or discussion. Rick kindly pointed out a few mistakes that I ususally made based on his experiences, which are just so right that I can't help writing them down here to constantly remind myself in the future.
They are exactly those things what I have to change before I can achieve my goals. So firstly I need the 100% determination to change them, then I need interrupt myself if fall down to the trap again, finally I should create the new habit/link in conversation.
1. I should speak slowly, otherwise I have no time to think and organise what am I saying, and people have no chances to take part in.
2. I should watch others' portrait to make sure if they are listening to me or they've lost any interest in my talking, and take the appropriate means to adjust myself in how to talk and what to talk.
3. I should head to the object/target directly, instead of too much nonsense, it would confuse people and make them lose interest. Answer the important issues straightway and simply.
4. Let people talk and express their interest, instead of talking what I'm thinking is it important.
5. Confirm that people have understood each point that I've expressed, and then I can continue, otherwise I need stop there and find out the reasons first.
