Michael said I need sell to the segment manager of TAAATs

After a short discussing meeting for the TEstBench, I left the meeting room with Michael, who then answered me "you need sell the benefits to Wayne" after I said "I'm not sure if TAAATs has the budget for the hardware".

I was shocked to hear that words from Michael whom I thought is only good at technique, but now I realised he knows so well how to sell himself to others, it's probably why he has been broadly recognized in the company as a radar expert.

What and how should I talk to Wayne? shall I wait for tomorrow to get sometime to think about it then speak to Wayne? Definitely, I know I need learn from Michael, I need sell the benefits of having the environment for TAAATs. so I think I should highlight the points that what can I and the environment benefit the TAAATs program and him. (Learned from Anzhi Chen who said that "if you want to get the chance to talk to or make a friend with a very successful person, firstly you need know what kind of services can you give them", that's exactly right).

I shared the Team/TCC plan about my personal development, the special trainings that TCC would give me, I show my interest and expertise in radar tuning activities to him as well, in a word, try to convince him I'm the right guy doing the tuning job for the program. Then I shared the benefits of having a customized TestBench environment. Then he happily promised to prepare the hardware for me and introduced me the activities he expect the radar integrator to behave. There are 5 aspects involved: integration, tuning, problem analysis and correction, training and flight trial.

It was a successful discuss I think which once again shows me how important to address others' interest in a conversation instead of the interests of myself.
